Founded in 1946, Utica College is a comprehensive institution that offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees . It enrolls 3,089 full-and part-time students, and 1,136 full-and part-time graduate students.  The colllege offers 37 undergraduate degrees in more than 60 areeas of study. It also offers 21 graduate programs, including master's degress doctural programs and graduate-level certificates in business administration, cybersecurity- intelligence and forensics, economic crime management, education, health care administration, liberal studies, occupational therapy and physical therapy. 

The student population is a diverse student body representing 45 states and 39 different countries. Class size is typically 20 students with a student to faculty ratio of 11:1.

"The primary objective of The Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) is to help provide a broad range of services to the student, who because of academic and economic circumstances, would otherwise be unable to attend college, yet has the potential and desire to obtain a college degree. HEOP is sponsored jointly by the State Education Department and the College."
